After beginning her career as an educator and early intervention provider at The Omaha Hearing School and Central Institute for the Deaf, Dr. Voss spent many years on the faculty at Fontbonne University, where she held varied leadership roles—including chairing the Communication Disorders & Deaf Education department—and directed several Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) 325K grant projects. Following Fontbonne's closure in 2025, Dr. Voss joined Butler University's College of Communication as Program Director of the Master of Arts in Deaf Education and faculty in the Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences Department. In this role, she is building on Fontbonne's 60-year legacy to launch a fully online graduate program preparing educators to support deaf and hard of hearing children and their families through listening and spoken language approaches.
